It is little wonder why Lake Country was highlighted as one of the top places to invest in Canada in 2015 by Canadian Real Estate Wealth Magazine. Here are three of the many reasons to invest and purchase your new home in Lake Country!
Wineries at your Doorstep!
Lake Country is home to a premier selection of award-winning vintners, many of who provide visitors to their wineries with unique experiences including guided tours and wine tastings. Wineries including: Grey Monk Estate Winery, Arrowleaf Cellars, Ex Nihilo, Intrigue Wines, 50th Parellel Estate, and Blind Tiger Vineyards! Yum!!
Fresh Fruit Markets, & Farms
Nestled in “Canada’s fruit bowl,” Lake Country enjoys a variety of fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables from June until October. Harvests begin in the summer with sweet cherries and stretch into the late fall with apples and squash. Local orchards and farmers markets are a great place to pick up peaches, strawberries, blueberries, corn and peppers among many other foods, including fresh pies, jams and baked goods.
Steps from the Beach!
Two beautiful lakes to bring family and head out in the boat or relax on the beach! Lake Country is situated between Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lake! Did you know that Kalamalka lake turns bright green in the summer because of limestone deposits left by receding glaciers. When the lake warms in the summer, dissolved limestone crystallizes, giving the lake a distinctive blue and green hue. When the lake cools, the limestone crystals disappear along with the characteristic colour. Gorgeous!
Anyone up for a wine tour! All this talk about Lake Country has me wanting to go!
